PTE Writing Vocabulary

PTE academic test is for students who are applying for the colleges of English countries, so its vocabulary level is much more difficult than PTE general. You may find many word lists from Internet or books.

Try to use these words… you will get marks and your score will increase.

Myriad a countless or extremely great number a lot The author suggests a myriad of solutions for the problem.
Asserts state a fact or belief confidently and forcefully says The author asserts that the issue is lacking simple solutions.
Egregious outstandingly bad bad The author asserts that other solutions to the problem are simply egregious.
Erroneous Wrong; incorrect wrong The author’s solutions for the problem were merely erroneous and absurd ideas.
Engenders to cause or give rise to causes She asserts that solving the problem will engender a better quality of life
Salient most notable or important important The author’s most salient solution is rather egregious.
Advantageous providing an advantage; beneficial; favorable good The author’s most salient solution is her most advantageous, as one can reason that it would effectively solve the problem.

Employ has a double meaning, because it also means to give a job to someone.

uses The author employs rhetorical questions in order to assert her beliefs in a more persuasive manner
